624 pieces were made, total (not 624 of each piece) and released in November 1982, with 312 sold at Disneyland and 312 at Disney World in the Disneyana shops. There were 120 Mickeys with a retail price of $22.50 each. There has been speculation that a second batch of Fantasia pieces was made the next year, but this is unlikely.
